It’s been a long time since the last Adventures in Jodysitting anniversary. A year, some might say. Yes, for two years we’ve churned out episodes and you have listened! And it’s been over a year since our last “Jody makes a cake with a weird ingredient and records the results” but here we are.
I was looking for a pressure cooker recipe on Allrecipes.com (as I often do) and for some twisted horrible reason, the site loaded with a cake recipe at the top of the page that I could not ignore. It spoke to me. Or, perhaps screamed at me. You see, dear listeners, it was a recipe for “Pork and Beans Cake.”
I know you know how much I love a challenge, and a suitable topic to discuss on the podcast. I’ve been waiting to make the cake and to release the episode for weeks. I’m not known for my patience, but I was in this one for whatever it took.
So on the occasion of our 2nd birthday, what could be more appropriate than cake!
